Ingredients

  • 6 medium flour tortillas
  • 4 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 block (180g) dairy milk chocolate

Tips for making the best Churro Chips

Don’t overcrowd the air fryer – Work in batches so they crisp up evenly.

Let them cool – This helps the chips become even crunchier.

Use quality chocolate – A good milk or dark chocolate will make the dipping sauce extra indulgent.

Directions

  1. Cut each tortilla into 8 triangles using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  2. Lightly toss the tortilla pieces in melted butter, ensuring they’re evenly coated but not too wet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Toss the buttered tortillas in the mixture until fully coated.
  4. Arrange the coated tortilla pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if needed.
  5. Air fry at 190°C (375°F) for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Let the chips cool for 5 minutes to crisp up even more. While still warm, sprinkle with extra cinnamon-sugar.
  7. For the dipping sauce, melt the chocolate in the air fryer until smooth, stirring occasionally.
  8. Serve the churro chips with warm melted chocolate and enjoy!
